“Steppin’ Out”  No not on the dance floor, hiking.  We will have experts to educate you on Sedona’s most treasured hiking trails and . . . shhhhhh . . . a few sacred secrets from our own Mr. Sedona, Dennis Andres and Gregg Stevenson. Find out why Good Morning America named Sedona as one of the most beautiful Places in the U.S. We will also have the latest of hiking couture presented by Gracie Stevenson from the Hike House and modeled by our own Sedona Women.

In Your Dreams”– Ever wake up wondering what in the world your subconscious mind was up to with that crazy dream? What is going on physiologically to your mind and body when you dream?  Now you can find out! Off-site luncheon may follow.

“El Camino de Santiago de Compostella ” The Journey Have you ever wanted to run away? Have you ever wished you could have time by yourself to figure things out? The walking pilgrimage, El Camion de Santiago de Compostella, walking from France to Spain is a pilgrimage to self awareness.  Brenda Cosse, one of our members had a remarkable story of her experience walking The Camino.  She has a wonderful photo presentation which will certainly capture our imagination.

We would love to have you join us for our first Coffee of the year on Wednesday, November 16th from 2 to 4 pm at the lovely home of Carol Decker, 10 Quail Circle, in the Village. Please RSVP directly to Carol at 554-4434.  

Directions: From greater Sedona, take Hwy.179 to Bell Rock Boulevard--the first roundabout in the Village. Turn onto Bell Rock Boulevard, cross Verde Valley School Road; keep going for 1/2 mile. Bell Rock Blvd. turns into Deer Pass Drive. Carol in on the corner of Deer Pass Drive and Quail Circle on the right. It's a cream colored house w/a three car attached garage and has a circular drive which connects from Deer Pass through to Quail Circle. There is an arched entry with double front doors.

" A  Holiday  of  Love and Grace"   A program designed specifically to bring you joy– Bring in the season with great intension for yourself and enjoy a joyous musical holiday celebration.  Geri Whaley, Ph.D, psychologist and renowned therapist who helps women empower their lives will assist us in setting our New Year “intentions with thought provoking and specific steps to reach your goals and resolutions for the New Year.  LeAnne Leman, enchanting singer and band leader will bring holiday music to our members.

Hot Off The Press – Cancer Breakthrough for Women”  - Cancer, what can you do about it? What is the very latest research on women and cancer? What are things you can do right now to protect yourself and stay healthy? David Alberts, M.D., PhD is the President of the Arizona Cancer Center at the University of Arizona Medical Center. He will be sharing with The Sedona Women the findings of a 20 year study on Women and Cancer. We will also hear the story and triumph of a local survivor. “Happy Birthday Arizona!” and our annual Valentines Luncheon – A celebration of Arizona’s 100th birthday with a walk through time from where it started to where we are today.  Come and hear one of the most humorous and interesting grand dame of Arizona.  Jana Bommersbach, is an author, researcher and writer for the Arizona Republic, Arizona Highways and more. Ms Bommersbach will share some fascinating stories on our struggles for statehood and beyond.  She is writing a year long series in Arizona Highways Magazine on each decade since statehood. Luncheon hosted by The Sedona Women membership, in their homes, follows.

“Sedona’s Fascinating History” Sedona’s history in pictures by our very own town historians including Janeen Trevillyan and others.  They will share the scoop on history that you may not know.  An overview of Sedona’s architectural evolution from pioneer days to today with a focus on our historic homes and buildings and the stories they continue to tell.

“Popping the Cork on Arizona’s Wine Country” Take a behind-the-scenes ride through Arizona’s wine country and learn why it’s starting to turn the nation’s eyes to our lovely state.  

Our meetings are held on the 2nd WEDNESDAY of the month from 10am to noon, unless otherwise noted as a change.  Please join us for a “meet and greet” social time 30 minutes prior to each meeting.

Meetings are generally held at the Sedona Creative Life Center,  333 Schnebly Hill Road.  

The program committee has been hard at work and has a great line up for this year.
