The Sedona Women Holiday Shopping Trip
The Sedona Women are invited to a day of shopping, dining and a wonderful Holiday experience. At 9:30 AM on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, we will board a comfortable bus to the Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall. After lunch on your own, you will have time to shop the many stores in the mall.
Later that afternoon, we will travel to the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix where we are dining at Gertrude’s Restaurant. Gertrude’s is known for its seasonal menu that celebrates Arizona’s growers and producers while offering a sophisticated culinary experience in a reserved oasis setting. Dinner includes salad or soup, a choice of entree which include vegan and gluten free items as well as chicken or beef, a wonderful desert, and coffee/tea/soda.
After dinner, we enter the Gardens where there are two light displays.
Las Noches de las Luminarias
This is the warm, beautiful tradition where the Gardens comes to life with the soft glow from thousands of hand-lit luminarias and white twinkle lights. As you walk the paths perhaps with a warm cup of cider, the sounds of handbells ringing and musicians singing will remind you of what the season is all about.
Electric Desert/A Light & Sound Experience by Klip Collective
Light and sound unite in a mesmerizing display as cactus and desert become a living canvass in this nighttime experience. There are seven site specific locations with each experience inspired by and related to the Gardens.
The cost of the Holiday trip is $140.00 and includes transportation from Sedona, our group dinner at Gertrude’s and entrance to the Desert Botanical Gardens Holiday displays.
Reservations may be made by check made out to The Sedona Women and mailed to Janet Powell, 2330 Corral Rd., Sedona, AZ 86336. Checks will also be accepted at the monthly general meeting. PayPal, using your major credit card, may also be used for payment. The process does not require a PayPal account and is secure. Simply click on the link below.
