Stroke Awareness, Prevention, and Recovery

  • October 08, 2026
  • 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Community Library Sedona

Stroke is a leading cause of death and permanent disability for women. Statistically, one in five women between the ages of 55 and 75 will experience a stroke. Currently, stroke kills about twice as many women as breast cancer each year. Stroke symptom awareness and preventative care is absolutely critical for senior women. We will hear from:

Mark Ritter, CHT, OTR/L, Certified Hand and Occupational Therapist, noted educator of master's and doctoral students, is highly experienced in all phases of stroke awareness and stroke rehabilitation

Sushant Kale, MD, Vascular Neurologist and stroke specialist, is with the Abrazo Arrowhead Stroke Center
